Mobility Aids

Mobility aids for dogs have revolutionized the way we care for our four-legged companions by enabling them to maintain their quality of life even when faced with mobility challenges. There are many types of mobility aids for dogs. A common mobility aid is a dog wheel chair which is a contraption to support the dogs hindquarters. These are sometimes used when a dog has had surgery on hind legs. Dog wheelchairs are typically lightweight, adjustable, and tailored to fit the individual dog's size and needs. Another mobility aid are slip resistant booties which are used to aid dogs with arthritis, hip dysplasia, or injuries. These booties provide traction on slippery surfaces and protect sensitive paws. There are harnesses and sling to assist dogs with balance of weakness in their legs. The lift harness makes it possible to help life the dog into a car. Dog lovers who have a dog with a special need are creating new products to help dogs who have a disablity of some type.
